OUR ADVICE PROCESS

Personal financial advice can range from simple advice on one topic, such as how to contribute to your super, to a comprehensive financial plan covering all aspects of your finances.

At PSK, we make certain that we understand your goals and needs before making any recommendations. Here is what you can expect when seeing one of our Financial Advisers:

1. Understanding your goals

The first step in our advice process is a consultation with a Financial Adviser, through a face-to-face meeting, or by phone or Skype if you would prefer this.

This initial meeting is obligation free. It’s an opportunity for the Adviser to gain an understanding of your current financial situation, and to begin discussing your needs and objectives.

This first stage will take as long as needed, depending on your unique circumstances and until we fully understand your goals.

2. Building your financial strategy

Once we understand your needs and preferences, we will investigate the range of financial options available to you. Based on your personal situation, this strategy may cover superannuation, retirement planning, insurance, debt management, investment objectives and estate planning..

Based on our research, we will present you with a customised financial plan, which will set you on the path to where you want to be.

3. Bringing your plans to life

We will work closely with you to implement your financial strategy step-by-step. You can have as much control as you like, and we will stay in touch, ensuring your plan stays up to date as your life changes.

You will benefit from our ongoing support and advice, and we will review your strategy regularly.

We make sure you understand and approve the fees before you pay or go ahead.

The cost of advice will depend on the scope and complexity of your financial plan.

It typically starts with an initial fee to cover identifying your needs, developing a strategy and implementing the recommendations. There could also be administration and ongoing service fees for regular reviews of your plan and the services you have access to, such as newsletters, seminars and events.

Your Adviser will be able to tell you how much the advice will cost, so you can decide on how to proceed.
